Late Restart

I spent years as a software engineer. I was good at it. It paid well. And then, like a lot of older people in tech right now, I couldn’t find work.

I sent the emails. I updated my resume.

I waited…

At some point the waiting and ghosting started to feel like a signal.

Agism is very real.

So I stopped waiting.

I don’t have it all figured out. I don’t have a proven system or a success story yet. What I have is a decision: to build something of my own at 55 and document the whole thing honestly, the progress, the confusion, and everything in between.

That’s what this is.

If you’re in a similar place, starting over later than you planned, I’m not here to inspire you with a highlight reel. I’m just going to show you what I’m actually doing, one post at a time.
